Europe, Day 7: Schönbrunn, Belvedere, and a Mozart Concert

comments edit

We walked past a bust of Franz Joseph I on the way to the Schönbrunn Palace. Next came the open-air opera and food market, with a snack from a stand, then Karlskirche and its statue of a begging king.

At the Belvedere, we saw van Gogh’s The Plains of Auvers, Klimt’s The Kiss, Rodin’s Eve, Monet’s Path in Monet’s Garden and The Chef, Manet’s Dame in a Fur, Renoir’s After the Bath, and Hubert Bayer’s Foliage, Mountain Lake, and Diving Bird.

Back at Gigerl for dinner: Wiener schnitzel for me and Kasnspätzle for Ksenia. Then a Mozart concert at Karlskirche. Ksenia says I fell asleep. I disagree.
