It was 35°F when we woke up, and it snowed throughout the day. We skipped our morning boat ride down the Snake River. It was just too cold; we would have been miserable.
Instead we went to Mormon Row for farmhouses and pictures. I was surprised by how many wire nails were used in the buildings. I had expected more cut nails. Ksenia made friends with another photographer. There were ground squirrels.
Lunch was pizza at Dornan’s Pizza & Pasta Co.. It was packed. The food was OK, but the view was great.
At the National Museum of Wildlife Art, we looked at animal pictures, including William Holbrook Beard’s “So You Wanna Get Married, Eh?”
Then Schwabacher Landing: pretty views, ducks, and Ksenia abandoning me for a squirrel. It warmed up, and the snow finally stopped.
We made it to Teton Thai for dinner this time. Small place, good food.
Part of our June 2024 Yellowstone and Grand Teton trip. Trip summary.
