Poland, Day 1: Kraków, Flowers, and Our First Polish Dinner

comments edit

Poland, Summer 2017

Ksenia picked me up at the Kraków airport with flowers and hugs. We wandered the square, found a place for pierogi, walked through the park and around the university, and made our way to Wawel. I saw the Kościuszko memorial and the dragon statue, and we ducked into a church on the way.

Dinner was at the King’s Restaurant: beef tartare, foie gras, sous-vide duck breast, wild boar roast pork, and mushroom ice cream. Quite a start.
