Prince Edward Island 2026, Day 8: Montgomery’s Cavendish and a Family-Style Dinner
We walked the L. M. Montgomery Cavendish National Historic Site: the Haunted Wood Trail, Montgomery’s grave, and the site of the grandparents’ house where she grew up. There was raspberry cordial, too. We had a light lunch with a nice view at On the Dock in North Rustico: oysters and mussels. Then we drove to the Tide & Tales bookstore and cafe, had a drink, walked the shore, and hung out in a gazebo.
Back at the hotel we played cards. Dinner at North Shore Canteen was family-style, with beans, steak tartare, mussels, quahogs, tuna crudo, sea bass, hogget, halibut, and hanger steak.
