Prince Edward Island 2026, Day 6: Mussels, Mead, and Gin
Laundry day. We had lunch at Blue Mussel Cafe: six oysters, mussels to share, and lobster rolls. Then we followed a fermentation trail. At Island Honey Wine Company we tasted mead, cider, dry oyster cider, a Haskap honeyberry drink that was more like a red wine and drier than mead, and a peach-flavored sparkling drink. At Deep Roots Distillery the tasting list included gin, spice apple, berry liqueur, and raspberry. We also stopped at a winery.
