At 8:45 we made our fourth trip to Mormon Row. Finally, the light was right for pictures. Not too cloudy or rainy. Not too backlit. Just right.

We spent about half an hour on a “false bear” sighting. Rocks had already earned that nickname earlier in the trip. No addition to the bear tally.

At 11:05, our triumphant return to Yellowstone. We stopped at the post office around 2:30, met a really nice postal worker, and bought Ansel Adams stamps. Ten minutes later, a coyote appeared as we pulled out.

By about 4 we were at the RSVP Motel in Bozeman. So cute. Highly recommend.

Dinner around 6, followed by a migraine. I suffered until going to bed at 7:15. Not the evening I would have picked.

A reminder to myself from today’s notes: look up frost heave.

Part of our June 2024 Yellowstone and Grand Teton trip. Trip summary.
