Poland, Day 14: Książ Castle
We toured Książ Castle with a private guide. Much of its interior was destroyed or stolen by the Nazis; what survived them was later taken by the Russians. It had been considered as a home for Hitler before plans changed and it became a Nazi headquarters. We heard about Daisy, the owner’s wife, whose seven-meter-long pearl necklace was later stolen.
